Healthy Churches The 7 Marks of a Health Church Are:

Energised by faith
Outward looking focus
Seeks to find out what God wants
Faces the cost of change and growth
Operates as a community
Makes room for all
Does a few things and does them well.

After a sermon series and 5 seminar sessions with the congregation we produced an audit profile of our strengths and weaknesses.

Our Strongest Areas Are:

> Operates as a Community
> Makes room for all

Our Weakest Areas Are:

> Energised by faith
> Outward looking focus

For 2009-2010 the Leadership Team and PCC decided to focus on the first mark – Energised by Faith, as one of our two weakest areas. Our key areas to develop are:

> Understanding and ownership of our vision statement (see Homepage)
> Deepening our discipleship through courses and small groups

We are currently addressing these areas by:

> Teaching into the vision statement and reinforcing it through prayer and example
> Running the ‘Discipleship explored Course’ and setting up new Network (Home) Groups.

We have set targest for our Network Groups of increasing the number to:

 4 groups by spring 2010
70% of the church in these groups by 2012
 100% by 2014.

Several new groups will run from September 2009

In Spring 2010, the Leadership team and PCC will review progress of the above and set targets to develop our Outward looking focus (mark 2)
