My ReflectionsAll Age Worship at St Peter'sEach of us has our own personal experiences with God; our own path, our journey of faith, one that helps mould us into the Christians we are today. Many people often feel overwhelmed with the pressures of daily life that they begin to feel guilt towards their relationship with God. We could tell you there's no need to feel guilt, that God will help you find your own way. But we won't do that. Instead we asked a number of our church family to express moments in their lives when God has been close to them. These reflections are personal and, in each one we get the sense of a real and living relationship with Jesus. Not only are they personal, they are also all very different; just one small example of how God’s personal relationship with us is so unique, so special and truly wonderful. read more

Baptism and Thanksgiving
For 2000 years now baptism has been the sign and means of entry into the church family. At St. Peter’s we baptise infants, children and adults, with either the candidates themselves or their parents and godparents making significant promises. These include a commitment to Christ and His church and a desire to learn more about him. Such things cannot be done without the support of the church family.
The Vicar during a baptismIf parents, especially of young children, feel they themselves cannot make this commitment and say the promises with integrity, or if they would like their children to choose to be baptised when they are older, then we encourage a service of Thanksgiving rather than Baptism.
